All Things Parenting

All Things Parenting

Parenting is hard, y’all!  It’s, by far, the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.  I’m not here offering you parenting advice, tips, and tricks because I’ve got it all down.  I’m here because if there’s one thing I’ve figured out it’s this: NO parenting strategy you use works the same every time!  One thing might work consistently for one child, and never for the next.  Another strategy may work one day, but not the next.  It might even work one minute, but not the next!

Parenting is never boring!

If nothing works the same every time, then, it’s more important than ever to have a myriad of tools in the parenting toolbox.  That’s why I’m here.  I’m here to offer a few methods and solutions that you haven’t heard of or tried yet.  Because one of them might just work for your family for a moment!  If it doesn’t work today, it might work tomorrow, or with your next child.

Most importantly, I want to offer you encouragement.  I see so many moms taking to social media, posting every private tidbit of their lives just for the sake of getting “likes” and “hearts” and other forms of praise—usually from people they hardly know.  It contributes to a vicious cycle of fake.  I know moms in real-life who stage nearly every picture that they post on social media!  Their children constantly have to record videos of them so the moms can post on social media, all the while, completely ignoring their children!  I know children who are so desperate for attention from their moms that they beg them to take pictures of them to post on social media.  All for a little approval and praise.

You don’t need the world’s approval; you don’t need the world’s praise.

What you need is encouragement from another mom who is right there in the trenches with you, offering you real solutions to those big and small parenting issues, so that you can love the mom you are!  If you don’t like the mom you’ve become, you’re not alone and all is not lost!  It’s never too late to be the mom your children need.

Parenting is hard.  Building relationships with your children is hard.  There is nothing in life worth having that you didn’t have to work hard for.  So, fellow mom, dig your heels in!  Grit your teeth and choose for yourself what kind of mom you want to be!  We can do this together!

About Me

About Me | RE: All Things Mom

Hello! I am so happy you have stopped by, and not just because I’m thrilled to have one person reading this parenting blog, but because I hope you can find some real content that can truly help you in this stage of life! I am a stay-at-home, home-schooling mother of four children, with four side-hustles, and, often, too many volunteer gigs.

So, whether you're here for encouragement, validation, approval, or just some new momming methods, there's a place for you!

I'm Wendy. If you're looking for perfection, keep it moving. If you're here for honesty, you'll find it!
